From the President
The University of Minnesota is one of the most comprehensive
and dynamic public universities in the world.
That breadth and energy are what help make us great. But as
compelling as our many different voices are, we gain power and
impact when we speak as one interconnected university. When
our many parts come together with a clear, coordinated identity,
the entire institution benefits.
That's what the graphic standards are designed
to help us do. They provide a consistent visual language we should
use to reflect the University as a whole, while still preserving
the unique personalities of our individual parts.
This graphic standards site has clear,
concise answers to your questions about logos, color, typography,
trademarking and more. I encourage you to bookmark it
and apply these standards consistently.
Whatever kind of work we do, and wherever we do it, we want
our print and electronic communications to say "University of
Minnesota."
That helps you and the University.
Sincerely,

Robert H. Bruininks
